Tour Exclusions:
- International airfares to and from Siem Reap.
- Travel Insurance.
- Tipping and Gratuity (we recommend $5/person/day be left aside to say thank you)
- Drinks during mealtimes.
Bookings are tentative until minimum tour numbers are met (10 travelers). If by chance the tour is cancelled due to minimum numbers not being met, all deposits will be refunded.
You will receive a notification once minimum numbers are met. Once the minimum numbers are met and the trip is confirmed by us, your deposit is non-refundable and subject to our terms and conditions.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended. We suggest purchasing travel insurance as soon as possible after receiving notification that the tour is confirmed.
We will contact you for your flight details closer to tour dates to organize airport pickup and drop off.
Final payments are due 75 days prior to departure.
Cancellation charges are as follows:
(a) More than 75 days before departure – forfeiture of Deposit;
(b) 41-75 days – 50% of Price; and
(c) 40 days or less – 100% of Price.
All travelers must provide Vietnam School Tours with a scan of the picture page of their passport and a passport style photo no later than 40 days prior to departure in order for visas to be arranged.
All passports must have a minimum of 6 months validity from date of return to Australia.

Day 1Arrive Siem Reap – Camp Tbeng
Upon arrival we will transfer to Camp Tbeng – our traditional longhouse accommodation and cultural immersion experience. Only a short 40-minute drive from Siem Reap and the World Heritage Angkor Complex, our home for the next 3 nights is nestled in the idyllic village of Tbeng.
N.B Camp Tbeng accommodation is in longhouses, similar to our cabin style accommodation in Australia. With western style toilets and showers.

Day 2Community Service - Cycle through the Countryside
Today we make our way to our service project site where we combine our energy and enthusiasm and begin our service work.
Our day will be spent working alongside local tradespeople to help make a positive change for the people residing in the village.
In the afternoon we enjoy a cycling tour around the village before freshening up for dinner.
Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner.
Day 3Community Service - Eco Tour
We continue our service project today. Later this afternoon we will partake in an Eco tour. Our hands on tour will teach us all about rice harvesting, farming and fishing using traditional techniques.

Day 4Noodle Making – Serve Lunch at Local School – Community Service
After breakfast we make our way to a local village house where we will roll up our sleeves and learn how to make noodles from scratch. We will help with the process from the grinding of the rice through to chopping up ingredients to make the beautiful soup.
Our morning of hard work is rewarded as we bring our freshly made noodles and broth to the local school to feed the children and share a meal with them.
In the afternoon we contiunue with our service project.

Day 5Community Service – Khmer Games & Dancing Lesson – Campfire
Today is our final day of service work before we hand over our project to the local community.
This evening while we wait for our meal to be prepared we will partake in traditional Khmer games and also a Khmer dancing lesson. After dinner we have the opportunity to show off our new skills as we enjoy live Khmer music and traditional dancing around the camp fire.
We will also have the chance to reflect over our work and friendships made over the last 4 days.

Day 6Monk Blessing – Phare Performance
This morning we board our bus and make our way back to Siem Reap, along the way stopping at a local pagoda where we will partake in a blessing by the monks. The blessing will include a red thread given as a keepsake which will be tied around our wrists as a symbol of love, strength and protection. Upon arrival into Siem Reap we will check into the hotel and enjoy a free afternoon.
After dinner we make our way to the Phare show - an amazing Circus and acrobatic performance whereby the performers will use theatre, music, dance and modern circus art to tell uniquely Cambodian stories. Prepare to be astonished by the performers’ energy, emotion, enthusiasm and unquestionable talent!

Day 7Angkor Temples by Bike
After breakfast, we will be fitted with our bikes and we will begin our cycle exploration of the majestic temples. Today we will focus on the impressive royal city of Angkor Thom, where we will find the Bayon which encloses 54 towers decorated with more than 200 enigmatic, smiling stone faces.
We also visit the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Terrace of Elephants and Terrace of the Leper Kings, as well as Ta Prohm which was made famous by the Hollywood blockbuster Tomb Raider.
Tonight, we will enjoy dinner and an Aspara Dance performance (an essential part of the Khmer culture which finds its roots in both Hindu and Buddhist mythologies) at a local restaurant.

Day 8Phare Circus – Angkor Street Eats
Today we enjoy a workshop at Phare Circus and learn some of the amazing tricks which we saw a few nights earlier. Phare was started by an art teacher in the village of Battambang to help socially deprived and troubled youngsters after the Khmer Rouge regime. The association now offers free education along with art, music and circus school.
Later this afternoon, we will be picked up by tuk tuks to begin our Angkor Street Eats food tour. The tour will take us off the beaten tracks and will open our eyes and taste buds to an amazing variety of delicious Khmer foods and take you on a culinary feast.

Day 9Cooking Class – Made in Cambodia Markets
This morning we will partake in a local cooking class, we will visit the markets where we learn all about the different vegetables and herbs as well as how to pick fresh meats and seafood. Following our market visit we make our way back and begin cooking traditional Khmer cuisine which we will enjoy for lunch.
This evening before dinner we spend some time browsing the Made in Cambodia markets which supports local artisans and designers.

Day 10Shopping
This morning we have the opportunity to do some last minute shopping before we farewell all our new friends and make our way back home.
